EPIPHANY DEFINITION: A MOMENT OF SUDDEN & GREAT
REVELATION OR REALIZATION.
It was a Saturday night in downtown Toronto at a sexy, cozy
lounge. The lounge was littered with
scented candles all down the bar, on every table and all along the lounge
giving a sweet aroma of vanilla. The low lightening of the lounge gives the room
a mysterious atmosphere. Lounge couches
and bar stools are positioned perfectly all throughout the room leaving the
dance floor wide open for a night of dancing.
The venue is beautiful filled with scented candles, seductive lightening and
low soulful music, this is the ideal ambience of a night of magic.
Low music is playing & as 9pm comes, guests are starting
to arrive. The ladies are looking
amazing flaunting their curves in their sexy outfits and the men are holding
their own as well dressed in their casual attire. Upon entry, the door person hands each
attendee a nametag and pen so they can write their name or a cute nickname on
their nametag. I see nametags with names
on them like Stacey, Mike, Hot Momma, Sweet Chocolate and so on.
Its now 10pm and the place is packed and the guests are
ordering their favorite drinks. Guests
are circulating the room, going around introducing themselves (by the their
name on their name tag). Everyone is mingling with each other, laughing, having
a good time making small talk, sharing stories, trying to figure out what they
have in common (the whole getting-to-know-you “cat & mouse”
game). You can see connections slowly
being made; there are men and women pairing off in two’s, three’s and
groups. You can feel the electric chemistry
in the room, you can see the life long friendships and romantic connections
being made.
As the clock strikes 11:30pm, the dj says over the mic “The party is about to get started…. Its about to get
crazy…. The dance floor is officially open…so lets get it started…. Its time to
shake your groove thang….. Its time to shake what your momma gave ya…”. As on
que the song “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO comes blaring out from the speakers. Of course there are those handful of men and women
that automatically go straight to the middle of the dance floor and do just
as the dj says- shake their groove thing.
Seconds later (thanks to those few brave souls that started it off) the
dance floor is jamming with men and women grooving to the latest top 40s, hip
hop, rock & roll, reggae, old school classics (70's, 80's, 90's) and more. The vibe is crazy!!!
By 2:15 am the party is gradually coming to an end. Last
call has been called half an hour ago and guests are finishing up the drinks in
their hands. The music has slowed down to some nice r&b classics. Those that have made connections (either romantic
or platonic) are either slow dancing with one another, exchanging contact info
to meet up on another day or bidding farewell to new friendships made. All the partygoers are leaving with big
smiles on their faces & inquiring about when the next BBW & BBW admirer
event will be. All I can say is, “WE
DOING IT AGAIN NEXT MONTH, BIGGER & BETTER!!!"
All in all the night has been a success, its been amazing,
its been a “REAL” single & mingle event for Big Beautiful Women & the
Men that love Plus Size Women. And from
here this EPIPHANY the "ON THE PLUS SIZE" PARTY has turned from a dream into reality!!
